第一章

　　我走上街，人行道上有一个深洞，我掉了进去。我迷失了……我很无助。这不是我的错，费了好大的劲儿才爬出来。

第二章

　　我走上同一条街，人行道上有一个深洞，我假装没看到，还是掉了进去。我不能相信我居然掉在同样的地方。但这不是我的错，我还是花了很长的时间才爬出来。

第三章

　　我走上同一条街，人行道上有一个深洞，我看到它在那儿，但仍然掉了进去……这是一种习惯了。我的眼睛睁开着，我知道我在哪儿，这是我的错。我立刻爬了出来。

第四章

　　我走上同一条街，人行道上有一个深洞，我绕道而过。

第五章

　　我走上另一条街。

　　I walk down the street.

　　There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.

　　I fall in.

　　I am lost … I am helpless.

　　It isn’t my fault.

　　It takes me forever to find a way out.

II

　　I walk down the same street.

　　There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.

　　I pretend I don’t see it.

　　I fall in again.

　　I can’t believe I am in the same place.

　　But, it isn’t my fault.

　　It still takes a long time to get out.

III

　　I walk down the same street.

　　There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.

　　I see it is there.

　　I still fall in … it’s a habit.

　　My eyes are open.

　　I know where I am.

　　It is my fault.

　　I get out immediately.

IV

　　I walk down the same street.

　　There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.

　　I walk around it.

V

　　I walk down another street.
